Structure of the shoulder joint
Shoulder is the most mobile joint, it has a high range of motion than any other joint in the body. Shoulder comprises of three bones; humerus (upper arm bone), scapula (shoulder blade) and clavicle (collar bone). It is a ball-socket type of joint. Ball end of humerus fit into the glenoid (shallow socket in clavicle). Surface of bones in the joint and are covered by cartilage to enable the smooth movement of the joint.
